The Ilderton Fall Fair is one of the largest county fairs in Southern Ontario and has something for everyone to enjoy. A short drive from London Ontario, this celebration of rural life is renowned for its entertaining events including a large parade. Visit our grounds to enjoy the creations of other individuals within the community, or participate yourself and demonstrate your abilities in one of our friendly competitions in homecraft, livestock, juniors and 4H. Our many vendors provide hours of entertainment and delicious food for fairgoers. Join us this year to celebrate the agricultural lifestyle with friends and family.

2018 Fair AmbassadorLauren Kennedy – 2018 Fair Ambassador
This past year, I have had the humbling experience of representing Ilderton as the fair ambassador. Having never missed a fair in my lifetime and volunteering for as long as I can remember, I thought I knew just about everything the fair had to offer, but boy was I wrong! This opportunity has given me the chance to experience the fair in a whole new way.
Leading up to and during the fair, I had the pleasure of visiting various local schools to promote the fair and agriculture, took part in agriculture awareness day for grade 3 students, and attended various events throughout fair weekend. I also had the opportunity to ride in the Coldstream Santa Claus parade, travel to Toronto for the Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies Convention, help at the fair BBQ and movie night, and look forward to representing the Ilderton Agricultural Society at the Canadian National Exhibition in August.
All things considered, something about the fair that greatly stands out to me are the volunteers. Without them, our small-town fair would not be able to thrive, let alone continue to exist as it does today. These incredible people work tirelessly not only during fair weekend, but throughout the year to continue to uphold the local success and province-wide respect we have come to earn. I have found that the best and easiest way to get the full experience of being a part of this incredible town is get involved whenever and wherever possible. This past year as the Fair Ambassador has made me realize that more than ever.
In closing, my list of sincere thank-yous could go on, but I will shorten it to my friends and family, the Ambassador committee, the Ilderton Fair board/volunteers, and the town of Ilderton. I look forward to continuing to attend and help out at my favourite fair!
Enjoy the fair!
